Peter Bretter as struggling musician has spent six years idolizing his girlfriend, Sarah Marshall. His world is rocked when she dumps him. Peter takes a Hawaii vacation in order to clear his head. There he is confronted by his worst nightmare. Depressed, Peter seeks solace in one-night stands.
Brian his stepbrother, advice Peter go to Hawaii for a needed vacation, but he freaked out when he discovers that Sarah and her new love are staying there as well.
Peter is befriended by Rache l Jansen hotel employeer, who encourages him to get back his life and pursue his own dreams, which include staging a Dracula musical with puppets. Poor Peter is blinded by his desire for Sarah even as he grows closer to Rachel.
